Who knew it would be so very difficult to choose what places to visit, which to pass by? Over the holidays, Dan and I have been working on the trip plan, trying to develop a rough itinerary and narrow down out choices. So far we’ve:
- opted to bypass the Grand Canyon this trip
- headed inland to follow the volcano trail through northern California and southern Oregon
- are bypassing Yellowstone in favor of Grand Tetons National Park.
What I’m currently trying to figure out is whether to head home via Canada by way of Pictured Rocks National Park in Michigan’s UP, or retrace our steps through Chicago. I’m leaning toward Canada, but need to find some 2-3 camping sites between Pictured Rocks and Sherbrooke, Quebec. Ideas, anyone?
